How much dust will it separate?

The Particle Separator 2 for the RZR Pro R Inner Fender Mounted will separate at least 96.6% of the dust just like it does on other vehicles. With less dust on your filter, your engine will produce more power.

The Particle Separator 2 features an automatic variable speed scavenge fan. When you’re at idle or the vehicle’s RPM is low, the fan speed is lower allowing you to talk and listen to music without hearing the fan. Once you hit the gas, the scavenge fan instantaneously accelerates to provide maximum protection for your filter.

INNER FENDER MOUNTING POSITION.

The Particle Separator 2 for the RZR Pro R 2.0L will be a self contained unit that is mounted under the fender on the driver side. By self-contained, we mean that the housing itself will be assembled and tested at our factory thus avoiding any potential mating errors in the field.

As with all S&B products, this unit will look like it shipped from the Polaris factory.

Suggested Mounting Locations

We suggest mounting your particle separator to one of the horizontal roll cage bars found to the rear of the vehicle. You can mount the separator on the lower roll cage bar behind the back row of seats, or to the upper roll cage bar either above or below the roof. We recommend facing the particle separator forward to benefit from RAM air induction while the vehicle is moving.

On The New Pro XP, Pro S, Turbo R And Pro R Models You Will Be Mounting Inside Your Inner Fender.

Will It Work With A Rear Window Installed

Yes the particle separator will still work, although you will not benefit from RAM air induction when the vehicle is in motion. If you mount the particle separator behind a window, leave at least 6 inches of space between the window and the face of the separator to ensure proper functionality and separation

Will It Work With OEM Rear Racks

The particle separator has been designed to fit specifically with the LinQ pivoting rack accessory for the Can-am X3. We do not guarantee fitment with any other aftermarket racks. Please refer to the general dimensions sheet and measure your desired mounting position to determine if the Particle Separator will fit with your rack.

I Am Seeing Dust Inside The Tube

Yes. finding dust in the fresh air outlet is completely normal and does not indicate that your PS is malfunctioning. The Particle Separator filters out over 94% of dust; the dust found inside of the fresh air outlet is the 6% that was not filtered out.

Will It Affect My Radio's Onboard

Ensure that you are mounting either a ground plane or no-ground plane antenna. Mount the antenna to the manufacturer’s recommendations regarding location.
Make sure the antenna is at least 3 feet away from the PS.
Connect your radio directly to the battery of the vehicle.

Where Does The Dust And Dirt Go

Once the dust has been separated from the clean air, it is directed in the main body of the separator and quickly evacuated back to the atmosphere through the separator’s 2 variable speed fans. With the design of the Particle Separator, the fans are integrated into the body of the separator and are only visible through the vents on the underside of the unit. The system has been designed to exhaust the dust straight backward, avoiding contact with any cargo or equipment found under the separator in the bed of the UTV.

Particle Separators

S&B warranties the electrical components of the Particle Separator’s scavenge fan and wiring harness for 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty DOES NOT cover broken fan blades. In close proximity of another UTV, there is the potential to get Roosted. Getting Roosted is when small rocks from the vehicle in front of you may fling into the Particle Separator’s inlets and break the fan blades. If you do get roosted frequently, click here to learn more about our Roost Protector. The 3.5″ flexible ducting comes with a one (1) year warranty.

If you purchased S&B products from an unauthorized dealer or if the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced or altered, your S&B limited warranty will not be valid.

Replacement of Product

In order to return any product to S&B, an RMA number must be issued. Customer must supply proof of purchase and product must be sent back at customer’s cost.

Extent of Warranty

If a defective product is properly returned to S&B, it will be replaced. S&B reserves the right to decide as to if the terms of the warranty outlined above have been followed properly. Should S&B decide that the terms of the warranty do not apply, S&B will under no obligation honor this warranty. Under no condition shall S&B be responsible for any contingent, special, consequential, indirect or other damages.
